Simplicity A1738/2150

I wear jeans A LOT so I've been wanting to make a few jackets to dress them up.  This is the first jacket I've made in about 20 years so I thought I'd pick an easy one and this was definitely fit the bill.  I'm wearing a simple white tank underneath and the addition of the jacket, killer shoes and a little bling definitely increase the WOW! factor.

Pattern Description:   Misses loose cut jackets

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I think so

Were the instructions easy to follow? Definitely

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? No dislikes

Fabric Used: A beautiful ponte knit I got from Fabric Mart Fabrics.  It sewed like butta

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Made as is.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?  I may sew it again but I would definitely recommend it to others.

Conclusion: This pattern is OOP as it was a part of I believe the "Sew Simple" line that Simplicity has now discontinued BUT this jacket is also one of the views on Simplicity 2150 so you can still get it if you want it.

  1. I like this total outfit. I'll go online and look at this Simplicity pattern. I really like the way it looks on you.

  2. I enjoy your blog! Therefore, I have nominated you for the Sunshine and Shine Award. Please visit my blog for more information

  3. Go Kelly, you look fabulous. You are motivating me to finish mine. I used a black double knit, which so far doesn't look quite as nice as yours.

  4. Kelly the jacket looks really nice, I love the color! But you absolutely FABULOUS!
