I've gotten A LOT of encouraging comments and e-mails either here or on my Facebook page about my weight loss and what things I am doing.  I have been hesitant to talk much about it because I believe you can be beautiful and fashionable at any size.  I believe that confidence is what makes a person beautiful and that fashion should express your personality and taste rather than what styles and colors "they" say look good on someone your size.

Now I am by no means a fitness guru, obviously, I just know what is working for me and I'm happy to share that with you.  So in response to the request, I decided to create this page to talk about what exercise I'm doing, what foods I'm eating in case it helps some of you.  I also think it's a good way to keep me accountable. 

If anyone is interested, I'm starting to use the free app MapMyWalk available in the AppStore.  You can request me (Kelly Horton) as a friend and it keeps us abreast of each others progress.  For now, I'm walking outside but I bought a treadmill which will be delivered in a few weeks so I'll have the option of walking indoors as well.

  2. I've always found that friends make losing weight easier! I found you on the app, but it won't let me add. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

  5. Awesome. I too have been on a weight loss journey since August of 2013 (due to diabetes complications) with loosing 40 pounds (was my goal to reach by June of this year with turning the big 40). I will find you on the app. Thanks for sharing.
