A little help please

I am currently in week 30 and don't want to create an entire Fall maternity wardwrobe but I do want to create a few nice pieces since there will be a couple of birthdays including my own and hopefully Thanksgiving before the baby gets here. I've been looking around for ideas (snoop shopping) and I found this dress I love.

Now I'm looking for a pattern I can morph into this or something very similar. Any ideas?

  1. Sorry, no suggestions! I never got around to any maternity sewing for myself :( Good luck finding a pattern like that--it's a cute look!

  2. Kelly...I made a dress almost identical to this when I was pregnant! I used KwikSew2430 (look at a picture here: http://sewing.patternreview.com/Patterns/1093

I just did a search in my pattern boxes, and I still have it. As I'm through having kids, you are welcome to my pattern. I think it's OOP. Can you adjust the sizing? The pattern's been cut, though all the pieces are there. If it's something you'd like to have, email me. Happy Sunday! :o) Larri at Seams Inspired

  3. Hi Kelly, It's so nice to hear all is well with you and you are in your 30th week. Yay! The dress above looks fairly easy in that maybe you could find a knit turtle neck pattern and add the skirt section yourself. It looks like all you might need to do is cut rectangles. The front rectangle would need to be longer to account for the baby bump and wider so you could add that cute gathering right in the front. I agree with Sewing Spots, It's a fabulous look!

  4. I've been thinking about making up Vogue 1194 to fill the same sort of wardrobe hole. It isn't a turtleneck though, and that is darn cute...

  6. I thought Christine Jonson's Travel Trio Three was close, but now that I look at it, the top doesn't have the gathers in the right place. As I was looking though my patterns, I thought Butterick 5523 might make a cute maternity dress too. Good luck!

  7. Butterick 5246 is a cowl neck and has a similar look, too.
